Road trip from Southern IL to Truth or Consequences, NM
Hello, My husband, our son (12 years old), my brother, my niece (10 years old), and I will be taking a road trip from Southern Illinois to Truth or Consequences New Mexico this June. We are looking for a few cool spots to stop and sight see while on our drive. Any suggestions?

You'll be going through Oklahoma City. See the Capitol building with the oil wells.
Also the memorial to the people that died when the Federal building was bombed. Not very cool but historic.
Albuquerque has a lot more going for it than T or C.
T or C doesn't even have a Walmart.
I did soak in a hot tub at the hostel which was next to the Rio Grande.
