Road Biking or Trails in Indiana
My husband and I would like to do a 2-3 day trip in the Midwest and wonder whether there are any road biking areas (first preference) or good bike trails in Indiana. Any input on places to ride, stay, eat, etc. would also be appreciated.

See www.indianatrails.org for rail trails.
North of Indy the country roads are flat, rectilinear, and easy to ride. South of Indy things get hilly, less visibility for cars.
Indianapolis to Bloomington (with side trips at each end) might be a nice. (Have you seen the movie Breaking Away?) Or maybe explore W. Lafayette & Battle Ground then follow the Wabash River south.

I did a xc bicycle ride (LA-Boston) in 1990&91 and crossed Indiana. Our overnight stays where Crawfordsville, Indianapolis, and Richmond. We traveled mostly on "US" highways. The cycling was somewhat (but not too) flat, and road conditions were great. Lots of older diners & motels on these old highways, especially US-40, "The National Highway". Rode several laps at the Major Taylor Velodrome on the outskirts of Indianapolis, and because we were a group got an ok to do a bicycle lap at the "Brickyard". IL, IN, and OH are great states to cycle in.
