RIP, Bushman :(

Do you know/remember the guy who'd been jumping from behind a bush to scare tourists in the SF Fishermen's Wharf area? He was 60. Heart problem.

He scared the crap out of me. I knew about him too and was kind of looking for him. Maybe that was what gave me away as a tourist. He jumped out in front of me at a very unexpected time.

He got real mad at a person taking his picture who did not put money in his till. He got very snarly and started following the guy until the wallet got pulled out. You didn't stiff the Bushman apparently.

He scared the bejeezus out of me once years ago at ghiardelli square - after that I was always ready for him. That is very young. . .

We "found" him after living in SF for several years on the border of Tenderloin. When he jumped out, we just kept walking, he just stared at us, probably the first couple in his experience not to get scared

We stopped and watched for a while, it was sort of fun.
