Restaurants on Oahu for Reception

Would anyone have any good ideas for a nice restaurant to have a small wedding reception on Oahu in June? We are considering Orchids or La Mer. Are there any nice restaurants that also have entertainment? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What is your budget? How many people in your reception?

Hello! And congratulations! Oo, La Mer is beautiful and elegant, but I don't know if it's a "celebratory" place. I found it to be reserved and quiet. Ya know what I mean? If you're looking to do toasts, and laugh, and really let loose, it might be a little too quiet. But nice.

I think I might like the Diamond Head Grill in the W hotel, which has a private room on the side. The food is great and the ambience is nice. The drawback is, the staff is kind of flaky, so if you are making arrangements you'll have to be prepared to check back often.

My friend had a lavish reception at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider, outdoors on the Banyan Veranda. That was also very nice.

There is also a restaurant called Sarento's, which is at the top of the Ilikai Hotel; or Aaron's, which is at the top of the Ala Moana Hotel...the view is fabulous from either! Another place with a great view is the Hanohano Room, at the top of the Sheraton Waikiki. I know that the Hanohano Room and Aarons has entertainment, but not sure about any of the others.

Orchids has a small seating area separate from the main dining area for small parties. It is open so it is semi private. I'm sure also that if you call the concierge at the Halekulani Hotel where Orchids and La Mer are located that they would set something up to meet your needs. They are a true 5-star hotel.

Would also recommend Bali by the Sea restaurant in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, they have a private room that can hold 10 people. Food is good also.
