Hello! And congratulations! Oo, La Mer is beautiful and elegant, but I don't know if it's a "celebratory" place. I found it to be reserved and quiet. Ya know what I mean? If you're looking to do toasts, and laugh, and really let loose, it might be a little too quiet. But nice.

I think I might like the Diamond Head Grill in the W hotel, which has a private room on the side. The food is great and the ambience is nice. The drawback is, the staff is kind of flaky, so if you are making arrangements you'll have to be prepared to check back often.

My friend had a lavish reception at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider, outdoors on the Banyan Veranda. That was also very nice.

There is also a restaurant called Sarento's, which is at the top of the Ilikai Hotel; or Aaron's, which is at the top of the Ala Moana Hotel...the view is fabulous from either! Another place with a great view is the Hanohano Room, at the top of the Sheraton Waikiki. I know that the Hanohano Room and Aarons has entertainment, but not sure about any of the others.
