Restaurants near Mayflower Hotel

Does anyone know of any good, moderate
priced restaurants within walking distance
of the Mayflower Hotel?

Assuming you're talking about NYC, Josephina on Broadway betw 63-64 or Cafe Fiorello for Italian on the same block. I think the hotel had a restaurant too but can't remember the name.

I'm sorry. I thought I was posting this
on the Washington, D.C. site and forgot
that it also shows up in the U.S.
post area. I'm talking about the
Renaissance Mayflower in Washington,
D.C. on Connecticut Avenue.

I work near there, and always bemoan the lack of "good" and "moderate" in the immediate area. To get those, you'll need to walk a few blows.
There is a good, middle eastern/kabob place called Skewer's on 17th St. maybe 4-5 blocks from Mayflower. Also, really good sushi on 17th, great sushi acutally, called sushi taro(?) (I haven't been there for a while, so I may have wrong name; If so, I'll post to you again.)

The Mayflower is in the law-lobbying-stockbroker office area, so there are lots of options for quick or take-out breakfast and lunch and for expense account dinners. Otherwise, head north up Connecticut Ave. about five blocks to the Dupont Circle area. Search here under Dupont and restaurant -- you 'll find lots of recommendations.

Moderate dining IS a bit tricky around there. If you want more of a fast food type place in the area, there's a food court one level down from the street on the corner of Connecticut and L streets. Some typical fast food places (Subway, McDonald's) and some hot buffet variety type places. Not too fancy, but you might not know they were there from just walking around.

Thank you for the information. I'm really looking forward to my trip. It's supposed to be beautiful in D.C. next week.
