Restaurants in Scottsdale/Sedona

I will be in Scottsdale for a week and looking for some great restaurants. We especially like Mexican, Southwestern and Italian but are open to anything. Interested in some nice places (about $50/person) but also would like suggestions on some casual places, too. Will probably spend one night in Sedona if anyone has suggestions for restaurants there that would be great - looking for more casual/reasonable in Sedona. Thanks!

Do a search for Scottsdale and Sedona. There have been tons of suggestions for restaurants in both locations.

We were in Scottsdale last April and enjoyed both Leccabaffi and Vincent Guerithault on Camelback; you can read about both at www.epicurious.com.

I strongly recommend Macayos for excellent Mexican food.

Don't miss Los Olivos for the best Mexican fare. Do go to the original restaurant downtown, and not their newer location. It's a Scottsdale Institution.

As was mentioned - much has been said here on Scottsdale restaurants. I just went and did a search myself and saw quite a bit. Type "Scottsdale Restaurants" in the search bar and I'm sure you will find plenty.

Have fun!

Pizzaria Bianco. Although a casual place - pizza, after all - it gets high marks in the foodie press. It's usually in Gourmet's list of top restaurants in Pheonix. And it is downtown Pheonix, not Scottsdale, but worth the drive.

I spent several days in Sedona about 5 years ago and never found a restaurant worth mentioning.

Check Chowhound.com for more reviews by people who live to eat.

Los Sombreros, which is highly recommended by the foodie posters at Chowhounds.com, is on our list for our upcoming trip. It's supposed to be better than Los Olivos.

Ate at Los Sombreros recently, and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. You might check out Franco's Italian Caffe.
In Sedona, we like Heartline Cafe.

I second the Heartline Cafe. The food was awesome. They were not so accomodating for our teens however.
