Restaurants in Scottsdale area
My husband and I are heading to the Scottsdale area for a few nights after Christmas and staying at The Boulders Resort (I believe it's just north of Scottsdale). I have searched this site for restaurant recommendations, but haven't found much (and most of the posts are a little old). Any suggestions on good restaurants in the area? We like most types of food and would like some romantic places as well as some more casual options. Any ideas?

Wife and I stayed a couple of months ago at the Boulders..make sure you get a room or casita that has been updated..
Binkley's is one of the best in Arizona...Cave Creek..close to the resort.
T. Cooks at the Royal Palms Hotel is another great choice.

We stayed 5 days at Royal Palms last December. It is a wonderful, romantic property. It would be perfect for a romantic, intimate dinner. The grounds are beautiful; there are little hidden courtyards with benches and firepits all around. There are paths beneath the palms to stroll. There are seats overlooking a reflecting pool; there are fountains and fireplaces all around. The Christmas decorations are stunning.
Go early, have a drink outside of the bar. Wander a bit, sit and chat. Then go in for dinner.
I have a trip report on here with pictures:

The staff at both the hotel and restaurant went out of their way to help us with our special celebration. They were excellent from start to finish. Royal Palms and T. Cook's could be my definition of heaven on earth.
