Restaurants in Saratoga, NY

We will be in Saratoga in the end of September and would like to celebrate my husaban'd birthday at the restaurant with great food and pleasant service. Any suggestions?

Here's 2 - The Old Bryan Inn (located in downtown Saratoga) and the Gideon Putnam Hotel which is just "outside" of the downtown area, on the grounds of the Saratoga State Park. Both are excellent, with pleasant atmospheres and service.

Pam:
May we have the phone numbers for the places you are recommending? We will be there in October. Are they open all year?

Yes - they are both open year round. Old Bryan Inn (518) 587-2990 and the Gideon Putnam Hotel (518) 584-3000. You didn't say if your actually staying in Saratoga, but if you are, you might want to check out the Gideon Putnam. Very nice, old hotel in a beautiful setting.

Hi Pam
Here is a question for you from Pam too. We will be visiting Lake George area in October for the first time and because this is not too far from Saratoga perhaps you know about great places to eat there or Glens Falls. We will try the restaurants you suggested to Teena. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Please include phone #. Thanks

Hi Pam - I've got 3 suggestions for you in the Lake George area. The Montcalm (518) 793-6601 and Log Jam (518) 798-1155 restaurants are almost across the street from each other on Rt. 9, south of Lake George proper, in the town of Queensbury. Another suggestion is the Sagamore Resort - the "fancy" restaurant there is called the Trillium (518) 644-9400. They are all excellent, the Log Jam being more casual than the Montcalm and the Trillium being very dressed up! Enjoy
