Restaurants in napa valley
Three couples will be in Napa for 3 nights in July. We are all in our 50s. We would like suggestions for restaurants.
Here is a wish list:
entrees in the 20s
quiet enough so we can hear each other but don't want to hear a pin drop either
not a chain restaurant
cuisines: American/French/Italian
We would also like to experience having lunch or dinner at a restaurant that has a beautiful view of the vinyards.
I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

The Napa Valley is almost 30 miles long and has four major communities. It would help to know where you are staying so as to give recommendations for restaurants that will be close by.
Vineyard views are kind of rare, surprisingly, at restaurants. One that comes to mind with "entrees in the 20s" would be Brix near Yountville. It's a great spot for lunch and is centrally located. The views from the rear of the restaurant are lovely.
Another option for non-stop vineyard views is the Wine Train:

Bistro Don Giovanni is a lovely italian restaurant with delicious food and great views. http://www.bistrodongiovanni.com/
Also Bottega is wonderful. Lunch might be quieter and you can sit outside too. Great spot and wonderful food in Yountville. http://www.botteganapavalley.com/index.html

We will be staying in Napa. Since we are staying 3 nights and we are 3 couples, each couple will choose a restaurant. I booked Don Giovanni for the first night. I'll send all your other suggestions to my friends so they can benefit from your advice. Thanks again!
