Restaurant suggestions for Newport?

My husband and I are passing through Newport in the middle of June- Unfortunatley we can only stay one night- Any restaurant favorites? Thanks- Barbara

Barbara, If you'd like to eat on the coast, there's the Chart House (pretty upscale and expensive), Duke's (also on Coast Highway, but closer to Long Beach). Duke's is owned by the same company as the ones in Hawaii.

Not at the beach is one of our favorites, The Five Crowns. At Fashion Island there is Roys (I hope I have that right...it is the same as the Hawaiian Roys...expensive but fun). It kind've depends on how far you want to drive and what kind of food you want to eat. A bit down Coast Hwy is Laguna and I have heard there are some great restaurants there.

Newport in Rhode Island or Newport in Oregon? Or one of the many other Newports in the US?

If you are going to RI, try a secial dinner @ the Castle Hill Inn.
