Restaurant suggestion near Union Station

Hi,
I'm going to be in Washington DC for the day on Saturday and will be taking a 9pm train back to New York. I'd like to have dinner around 7pm at a restaurant convenient to Union Station. I'm looking for someplace casual dress and around $25 to $30 per person. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

Head right upstairs in Union Station and there are shops and restaurants. We ate at one two years ago called America and it was very good. Certainly would be convenient!!! Not sure if this is exactly what you want, but it's a start.

There is also a Capitol City Brewing Company right next door to Union Station. Basic microbrewery menu, but not bad.

America is a fine choice. Another would be B.Smiths - http://bsmith.com/dine/bsmiths_dc.shtml

Either way, skip dessert at the restaurant and head down to the basement level to Vacarro's Itialian Pastry shop - http://www.vaccarospastry.com/

I also suggest Ireland's Four Provinces, Bistro Bis, and La Colline (the last two are more upscale and may be a little nicer than casual dress).

Oops! It isn't Ireland's Four Provinces, it's The Dubliner.

America looked great! They have chairs out with candles at each table. very romantic at night. they were closed by the time we got back from the Night Momnument tour so we went up to Pizza Uno and it actually was not too bad!
PS. Don't miss Blueberry pancakes or french toast at the eastern market.
