Restaurant Reservations in Kauai

We were wondering if we need to make reservations at any of Kauai's restaurants before we get there? Thanks!

YES! Roy's in Poipu definitely and most of the favorite restaurants mentioned in this website work best with reservations. When in doubt, just call the restaurants you're interested in dining the day you arrive.

We were just on Kauai last week and hadn't made any reservations. I called Roy's and made same day reservations with no problems. If you're going during a very busy time of year, perhaps you may want to make reservations a few days in advance, but we had no problems getting in to any of the restaurants with same day reservations.

If you are interested in places that offer incredible sunset views, I would suggest making resies asap. We made ours for The Beach House several weeks in advance.

We were also there last week-we literally walked in and sat at all restaurants. It is also considered the slow season.

If going at a busier time definately make reservations.

We ate at The Beach House and Roy's-EXCELLENT!!

Tidepools-Very Good (great entertainment watching the fish)ask for a window seat and some extra bread (you'll know what I mean)

Dondero's-Horrible!

Reservations at Kauai restaurants are like a college education. I rather have them and not need them and need them and not have them. (Thx Mom)

2 mo' weeks until lobster raviolis at Coconuts!!!!
