fun4all4---I wish I could remember how long the drive out to Ozette is. . . but I can't. We went out there and camped overnight to have more time for the hike. It's at least 2 hours from PA, and probably a bit more. But don't worry about the hike---no crevasses! It's a level walk out to the beach and back. You only do "the ropes" if the tide is high and you can't get around the headlands. Then you have to go up and over, and the ropes are there so you can haul yourself up what is basically a very steep dirt trail to the top, and then let yourself down the other side. Check the tides and go when it is mid to low, and you won't have to worry about it.
But if the weather is good, I think you should give Hurricane Ridge higher priority.

Not truly terrifying ;-), just mildly frightening. I'm a pretty avid hiker myself but I had a pretty full daypack on my back that day and just felt a bit uncomfortable because the up and over trails were quite steep and I felt off balance even with the ropes --actually going *up* each of them wasn't so bad, it was going down that I was more afraid of slipping and falling and twisting an ankle or worse, and since I was hiking by myself I was probably more concerned about that than I would have been if I'd been with someone else. In any event, if you time it right, you won't have to worry about the up and overs, anyway!
I would estimate it's about a 2.5 hour drive from PA...if you go out there, you should also check out the museum at Neah Bay and the short, easy hike out to Cape Flattery.
Oh, and Beachbum, Cafe Campagne is only open for breakfast/brunch on the weekends. And yes, the outdoor deck at the Pink Door is a summertime fave for sure.

For dinner restaurants best fitting your general description and near Inn at the Market, I like:
Assagio's on 4th or La Fontana on Blanchard between 1st & 2nd, both Italian
Etta's Seafood at the very north end of the Pike Place Market on the inland side of the street
Restaurant Zoe at 2nd & Blanchard
