Restaurant in Seattle or area
I'm hoping to discover a casual, but nice, seafood restaurant with a view for a special meal for my DH birthday.
We'll be driving down from Mt Baker to SeaTac area on a Sunday for an early morning flight on Monday, so it can be any place in between.
I've read some past posts, and Ray's Boathouse sounds nice, but it doesn't open until 5pm on a Sunday. Since we'll be packing and returning the car in the evening, would prefer an afternoon meal.

Anthony's in Edmonds might be a good choice.
Salty's on Alki and Palisades on Magnolia both serve a very popular brunch (but somebody who posts on this site wasn't happy with a recent brunch at Palaisades).
Anthony's has two casual restaurants in Seattle: Chinooks, by the Ballard Bridge, and the Bell Street Diner on the waterfront. The Bell Street location has outdoor seating.
Ray's boathouse has an upstairs cafe that I believe serves lunch on Sunday. It has a great view and outdoor seating. Many people love this place, but I have become disenchanted with it.

I agree about Anthony's. There is also one up in Everett, right on the waterfront there. That might be an option for you depending on what time you are driving and such. It is right next to the Naval Base on Marine View Drive if you are interested.

We had a very nice meal at Salty's. The views are gorgeous from the outside patio area. You might want to check out the Six Seven at the Edgewater to see if they do a brunch. We enjoyed several fantastic breakfasts there when we stayed at the Edgewater. Cheers! ***kim***

IMO Salty's has a great view but the food is only so-so and the prices very high for what you get.
I'd recommend Harborside on Lake Union has the view, is causal, the food is really good (especially the ahi tuna) and they have a chocolate cake they won't give the recipe for that's outrageous. And it's very reasonably priced. (Check it out at www.McCormickandSchmicks.com)
