Restaurant at Disney World
My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary at WDW in several months. We've been there at least 13 times in the past 24 years including our honeymoon. Now I am looking for that one special restaurant where we can have a quite romantic dinner for two on our anniversary. Any suggestions.

The problem with the restaurants at WDW is that, no matter how *elegant* they are they are full of parents and children. This was true even of the French Bistro at Epcot... although we didn't try the restaurant downstairs. We *did* have a more private dinner at the American retaurant in the Land pavillion, again at Epcot. It rotates... so you get the noises of the exhibit below... but you can get a booth which is more private. The food is American obviously... It has been a while since we were there.. someone else may have better advice.

Hi Letty!
One of the nicest places there was Ariel's at
the Beach Club resort, but it was closed for good
earlier this year. May I recommend the Yachtsman's
Steakhouse located at the Yacht Club Resort. We've
dined there many times. The atmosphere is not
typical of other Disney restaurants. The service
reminds me of the finer restaurants in San Francisco. ED

After living in the Orlando area for 7+ years, I've been to Disney at least a hundred times. The best place to go is the California Grill (if my memory is correct) which is located at the Contempory Resort. It has a very nice atmosphere, and the food is always very good. It is fairly pricy (as everything in the Kingdom is) but is well worth the money. I would recommend it, because unless you are staying within the resort, not many people are aware that it is there.

I also must second the Yachtsman. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Beach Club and ate there one night. If you can get seated in the back of the restaurant in one of the little nooks, you may have more privacy. As far as the food goes, I have only had better steak at Morton's..the Yahctsman steak was incredible. A great wine list too. There is also a great restaurant over looking the Magic Kingdom Lagoon in the Grand Floridian that serves good food as well. You cant beat the view here if seated near a window.. I forget the name.but the food was very good.

A great restaurant at the Lake Buena Vista Palace is Arthur's 27. On the 27th floor of the hotel, looking out over the Disney parks and the Disney Village. If you time it right you can see the laser light show at Epcot while dining. It is expensive but very much an experience to remember.
If you want to stay on the WDW grounds I believe there is a restaurant at the Grand Floridian called Victoria and Alberts which is supposed to be very good.
Have a great time!
