rent a car for scottsdale?
I will be going to the Camelback Inn in Scottsdale for a girls getaway long weekend in March. Does it make sense to rent a car even if we don't do that much venturing off the resort (maybe just for dinner). I can't really find how much it would cost us to take cabs to and from the airport.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Yes, you'd want a car, I think, though if it's just a weekend, you could do without......Camelback Inn is wonderful, perfect...from there you can walk east on Lincoln Drive to El Chorro, a very old restaurant, open for b'fast Sundays, lunch and dinners all other days, can eat outside or in.....also Sanctuary on Camelback is close for meals, if you want to do it up big.....going the other way on Camelback, there is a good restaurant on the SW corner of Lincoln and 32nd St....but Camelback has wonderful meals too....you might want to just drive around Paradise Valley where Camelback is located.

Yep. With four I'd get a car because the cost won't be that great between four people.
I love elements at Santuary on Camelback for dinner. Especially nice at sunset with the ceiling to floor windows overlooking an infinity pool and beyond to Camelback.
I loved hiking Camelback with my three friends two years ago. Lots of fun but take sunscreen and waterbottles.

I'm leaving Saturday for a girls' trip to Scottsdale. We've been there before and can't wait. Definitely rent the car, especially since you are splitting it. There are lots of good restaurants and shopping in Scottsdale - very easy to do with your own car. A car gives you total flexibility.
