Leaving next week for Reno. Any favorite restaurants, casinos or activities would be appreciated.

In Reno or Lake Tahoe?

We always enjoy the buffet at Toucan Charlie's at the Atlantis for dinner, the breakfast buffet at the Reno Hilton (not the Flamingo Hilton), and the buffet any time at the El Dorado. There is a big selection and it has always been delicious.

My favorite activity in Reno is gambling.

My Reno favorite is the Nugget Hotel and Casino. Its located in Sparks; not near downtown Reno. I personally don't care for the downtown area (dirty, crowded). Nugget has excellent restaurants and the rooms aren't bad either for a casino-hotel. Employees are over-friendly; very nice all around.

What is the typical price of the buffets mentioned. In Las Vegas 2 for 1 coupons are available. Are they in Reno?

Best gambling is at Fitzgeralds in Reno. Best scenery is at Lake Tahoe.
