What seems to be the rent range for a nice 1-bedroom apt. beachfront? How about a few blocks away? Thanks!

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a decent one bedroom apt. in Redondo Beach for $850. I don't know that there are many apts. anywhere in California for much under $1,000. I'd budget double that amount for a decent place. And forget about a bachfront apt. unless you can find the deal of the century.

A friend just had his offer on a 2 bedroom condo a mile from the beach in Redondo $299,000--prices are high.

I was just walking down the boardwalk in Hermosa Beach (next to Redondo) and a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment on an upper level of the building (nice and newer looking) was advertised for $2500/mo. I think Redondo would be less but I still don't think you'd find something for under $2,000 even for a one bedroom. I've seen them rent for $3,000 per month in Manhattan Beach.
