Recommwndation needed on Best going trails in alaska
I am looking for 2-4 hr hiking trails with breath taking views in the following places for August trip:
1. Anchorage
2. Seward
3. Whitter
4. Matunska glacier
5. Denali np
6.fairbanks
Anything along the way is fine too. The key is breath taking views of mountains and lakes.

OK for Anchorage you have Kincaid Park and Earthquake Park on the west side.. There is a shuttle van that will take you to the trail head for Flattop trail in the Chugach.
Outside Anchorage, I took a short hike from the Eagle River Nature center.
Outside Seward you can hike up to the toe of the Exit Glacier.
There are all kinds of hiking places in Denali. Ask at the visitor center on the way in. Buy your shuttle bus ticket before you get there.
Outside Fairbanks go out to the hot springs.

In Girdwood there is the Winner Creek Gorge (google it for awesome pics)and the details for the trail are on Alaska.org. Since all the tour guides say to do the Aleyska Tram in Girdwood, this trail starts behind there and it goes a few miles to the gorge and then to a tram that you pull yourself across with a rope. I'm excited about it. I am using the Lonely Planet guide from the library and it lists the best hikes for each city.
