Recommended Shows in Las Vegas?od

We will be in Las Vegas in late January and want to be sure to see a great show.... we've seen BMG, so don't want to do that again. We read that Siegfried and Roy was overrated --- is it? We read Cirque du Soleil's O and Mystere were good and I also so good comments about Danny Gans. Any favorites or recommendations???? Thanx!

Your info is good and i agree with all of it:

Mystere and O are the best shows in Vegas!

BMG is fun and Danny Gans is supposedly a great entertainer (the only show of the 4 i haven't seen).

S+R (which i have also seen) is TERRIBLE!! It's a typical magic show, but has more live animals and "hoopla." Don't waste your time or your money.

I thought Danny Gans' show was the best I've seen in a long time.

And although I don't like magic shows, I thought Lance Burton's was the best entertainment dollar for dollar in Las Vegas.

Danny Gans wins the Best Entertainer of the Year or Las Vegas or something like that every year...we have seen him twice, he is excellent. Also "O" and Mystere are great, for some reason I liked Mystere better, although what they were able to do with all that water is amazing~BMG is in NY so we didn't bother, but Del la Guarda at the Rio is great, wear old clothes and prepare to stand through the whole thing, can be fun..if you are in the mood.M

i got back from Vegas today. DON'T SEE LANCE BURTON, 1.5 hour show 30 minutes of it was a funny comedian. lance was kids play, dumb stuff, birds from the hat, the fee stuff in Vegas beat this waste of $54.95, pitiful.

Saw Lance Burton(Monte Carlo) and loved it--will be going back again in August. Siegfried and Roy in our opinion wasn't worth our time or money(yet some people were thorougly entertained). Next trip we'll be seeing Steve Wyrick (magic-Sahara) and Danny Gans(Mirage.

We loved Lance Burton and think it was a great bargain for the price. Had front row seats and still could not see the slight of hand. he is gret.

We just saw Steve Wyrick and we wanted to walk out. Too many dancing girls...very little magic.

Over the years we've seen Siegfried & Roy (which we loved at the time, but that was our first trip to Vegas 11 years ago!), EFX which was just okay, Mystere and "O". We liked O the best followed closely by Mystere. Keep in mind that O is very expensive at $121 per person, and Mystere while very similar is considerable less at $89.

Okay, what's the best "budget" show in Las Vegas? Even $180.00 for two tickets is going to cut into my gambling allowance severely. Any recommendations in the $50.00/ticket range?

Mary:
Follies Bergere in the Tropicana is 41-45 dollar range depending on if you go to the early ot late(topless) show.
Rick Thomas is also there 2 and 4 PM tickets are 16 dollars.
We just got back and won free tickets to both shows on a free spin machine right outside the Tropicana. There are two. One at the upstairs walkway from MGM and one outside the casino entrance. Both shows were terrific. We went to the late show and thought it was beautifully done. Have fun.

STORM at Mandalay Bay is outstanding! Watched it last month and enjoyed it as much as O. Just outstanding keeping into account the fact we've seen many Vegas shows and many Broadway musicals. The ticket is around $50.

Its a production show that plays at Mandalay Bay resort. Its a mix of Cirque du Soleil-like acrobatics with the elements of a modern Broadway musical - beautiful singing, great dancing (very sexy), beautiful staging, live music, as well as special effects and television clips. I agree with Vince - the show is amazing. I've never seen anything like that before.
