We stayed at Jackson Lake Lodge last year. We had a direct view of Mount Moran from our bed in the cabin. Stunning.

Hot wheels...I've booked 2 nights at Mammoth, maybe I'll book a night at West Yellowstone. Thanks!
Belle...Jackson Lodge was booked, but thanks for mentioning it.

GTNP lodging proved difficult for mid Sept. I'm thinking about the small town of Dubois, about an hour from GTNP.....any thoughts? Thanks!

Book what you can that is cancellable then keep calling for lodging in the park. People make plans a year ahead then cancel as they find they can't make the trip..

Jackson is closer than Dubois and yes keep checking back for cancellations. We rarely plan early enough to get in park accommodations and usually have to wait for cancellations.

I hear ya Patty. I'm also rather late in planning for a Sept trip. Actually I've heard some good things about Dubois. We like small towns with a western flair. Would love to hear from anyone who knows that area. Thanks!

Stayed in Jackson hole last summer great small town feel with a lot to do and close enough to drive to Tetons. Very beautiful but a little pricey and we booked a year in advance
