Rain Rain Rain - What to do inside in Oahu
It has been storming and flooding in Oahu. I am leaving tomorrow with my sister and mother. I would not have chosen March, but we are attending a wedding.
Question: Are there any inside activities or indoor things to see? My family has never been to Hawaii and I am at my witts end trying to determine how to entertain them with so much rain.
Help! I want to have a good time regardless of the weather.

In Honolulu you could go to Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace, Honolulu Academy of the Arts with Doris Duke's ShangriLa estate tour, Mission Houses, Chinatown walking tour. Ala Moana mall is huge with a nice food court downstairs.

Thank you both for your ideas. It seems or seemed like most everything was an outside adventure. I will certainly follow your suggestions. My mother is elderly and I fear she will get sick if she sits in the rain somewhere. You have been a great help.

Most of the rain on Oahu falls in the mountains and the windward side. The area of the windward side that gets the most rain is from Kaneohe to Kahuku. Even there it is rare that anything is closed because of the rain. PCC was closed one day last week because of the rain. That is the first time since I moved to Oahu that I've heard of PCC closing because of the rain. PCC is in Laie on the windward side.
Honolulu/Waikiki is fairly dry except the mountains and valleys.
Honolulu airport/Aloha Tower/Waikiki/Pearl Harbor all get less than 15 inches annually.
Here's a link that shows average rainfall on Oahu. It's in milimeters. One inch = 25 milimeters.

It is 3:30 on Monday, and I just had to pull the shades in our office...too hot and sunny! Some clounds in the sky, but otherwise a gorgeous day, and I can see lots of people lyuing on the beach at Ala Moana.
Yesterday was pretty most of the day too...husband spent the afternoon surfing at Ala Moana.
Last week was pretty ugly, but these things usually don't go on for days and days like that storm did. Even then, there were some places that had sun for part of the time.
