Quick Juneau Overnight Between Flights

This summer we will be in Alaska, and our flight routing from Nome to Gustavus includes an overnight in Juneau. It's not enough to really do much of anything, except maybe lunch and maybe a little shopping, since we arrive at 8:30p and leave at 3:45p. For those familiar, do you have any recommendations on hotels that will be both convenient to the airport and also let us spend those few hours downtown playing tourist? We've been there a couple of times on cruises so not looking to do anything in particular. that time of year, lodging is pricy so I'd like to make a good choice. Thanks.

I'd stay near the airport; there are places with shuttles. In the morning, shuttle to the airport, check your bags (if they'll let you) then cab or bus downtown and back when it's time to fly. If you can't check bags early, then leave them with the hotel and stop on the way to the airport to collect them.

I did reserve the Wyndham Travelodge and then found Frontier Suites. Both have airport shuttles. Would you recommend one over the other? Same price.
