Quick Chicago Dinner Reservation Rec Needed

The reservation we thought we had is no more...(story uninteresting)...

We're a party of 8 and we're a "small plates" or tapas-type crowd of thirty- and forty-somethings. We drink, we're social and would like something close-in. We're all nonlocal and are hoping for a lively, memorable, fun night.

I know this is a tall order -- a table for 8 in two days -- but let me know your thoughts! Thanks

National 27 is a great place. This is a just a quick link I found through google. The sangria and mojitos are yummy...the food is yummy too!

Quartino at 626 N. State St. sounds perfect for you. Their portions are perfect for sharing and the atmosphere is fun and lively. We ate there a few weeks ago and really enjoyed our meal. http://www.quartinochicago.com/

Thanks...but both are booked

I found a table at Osteria Via Stato. I'm hoping we like it!

If you are still sort of shopping, try Reza's Persian Restaurant. It is regular portions, but you could definitely do it family style. Persian food is hard to find and different than middle eastern. They have wonderful sangria and their own beer. It is a nice space too.

Quartino is a good choice. So is Reza. You might also consider Cafe Iberico on LaSalle Street near Chicago Avenue. It is a Spanish tapas place.

Kit,
I agree that Quartino is a good choice. We had a get together with a group of about 7 or 8 there last summer, and we all enjoyed it. When we were looking for a place to meet with a friend in the near future, we chose Quartino. You can book it on opentable.com.
