Next time you visit NYC, make sure to take your son to The Museum of the Moving Image, an easy subway ride away. As a film lover, I'm sure he'd enjoy it.

Thank you for mentioning Artisanal. It looks perfect for our group of three friends, one who is vegetarian. There is a vegetarian menu for her and the place looks sweet and inviting. Also Risotteria. I'm going to fit that in for a late lunch or early dinner. Perfect and easy planning for me! I'm glad you came back to post this. Thanks!

Enjoy Artisanal. Order the gougeres, they're great! I looked at the menu, and tried to recall what my son ate - I'm thinking he had either risotto, or possibly, just French onion soup (which he loves) and truffle fries.

The gougeres are delicious, but so is the fondue (and I generally detest even the concept of fondue).

I should have said "and" so is the fondue, not "but".

We have not been to Artisanal in years but we went a couple of times and never saw the charm. The second time we brought friends who agreed. And then they had a counter for the most overpriced cheese in the city. Do not get it.
