The Inn at Queen Anne is fine, haven't stayed there personally but have heard good things. If you are around QA at night you might like these personal favorites:
The Sitting Room- wine bar on Roy
Pesos- popular mexican bar/restaurant on QA Ave
Ten Mercer- cocktails/restaurant on Mercer
Floyd's- Sports Bar on 1st
and for the serious drinking/partying check out the "Dirty 3" as my friends and I call them: The Mecca, Sorry Charlies and Ozzies!
Also take a look around http://seattle.citysearch.com/ for more ideas.

Each area has their own great places, but the areas arn't really close enough to walk to (with the exception of maybe Bel-town to Lower QA and Pioneer Square to downtown).
On Capital Hill I like the Capital Club for cocktails, Garage for pool, 6 Arms and Linda's both for pubs, The Baltic for music.
Downtown there are so many choices! Virginia Inn, Cyclops, Nation, Fado, New Orleans, Alabi Room, and the Showbox.
In Fremont check out the George & Dragon, Ballroom, Red Door & Dad Watson's.
