Quaint Beach Towns - FL, SC, GA

I'm looking for some suggestions on a new (to us) beach town for our mid April family spring break. We live in the Cincinnati area so we'd prefer to be in northern FL or on the coasts of Georgia or South Carolina. We've stayed at Seacrest Beach/Rosemary Beach in FL before and really enjoyed that. We'd likely look for a house to rent on VRBO and would prefer walking distance to beach. Bonus to have a cool beach town nearby with some little local restaurants/shops. We have three children ages 9-13.

Several years ago I went to Seaside/Watercolor area of FL. So many bike paths, quaint little towns with art galleries, and walkable restaurants. I don't have kids, but I saw TONS of families having a really good time since it was so pedestrian and bike friendly. Almost too cute to believe.
Nice beach too.

On the Atlantic Coast of Florida, we enjoyed Crescent Beach in the St. Augustine area, although that may not really be what you are looking for, come to think of it......

On the Gulf Coast, Indian Rocks Beach, near Tampa.

You might include NC in also--Holden Beach, Sunset Beach. Not entirely sure there are "quaint" beaches.
Probably Edisto in SC would qualify.
NC/SC beaches will save you a good bit of travel time.

We just returned from the holidays at Folly Beach, SC and had a great time and it's a funky little town.

This is the house where we stayed and it was perfect for 5 adults and two kids.
