How does a visitor get to Napili Beach on Maui? Tried to find it once a few years ago with no luck. We'll be staying in Upcountry, and would like to try this beach on a day trip. Thanks.

I assume you mean Napili Bay??

Driving north from Ka'anapali on 30 make a left at mile marker 29. You will see NApili Plaza Shopping center on your left.I think the road is Napilihau. Go to end and make a right. The following are directions from Maui Revealed, as my memory is a bit hazy:
"There are 2 accesses -- middle and south end are from Hui Drive[cutting through Napili Sunset] and Napili Place [limited parking & public access sign is missing], both are off Lower Honoapiilani Road."

DH Fleming State Park a bit further north is nice too. Lots of shade and facilities.

We were just there in October, and rented a house just south of Napili beach. To get to Napili Beach, turn left on the street just past the Napili Shores Hotel. (The street leads to the Napili Surf Hotel.) There is parking on both sides of the street.

Kapalua Beach is through the tunnel, not Napili.
The old hotel there is being razed for a new condo property making it a less pleasant beach than it used to be.

I'll look forward to trying both beaches. The detailed map of Napili in one of the links makes it easy to visualize.

Oops! It was beautiful and some good snorkeling...all this time I thought it was Napilli.
Guess I was mislead by the name of the resort 'Napili Kai'.
