Assuming you're using Windows, drag the cursor over the text you wish to copy, highlighting (or selecting) it, then press control+c - that pastes the text into the clipboard.
Now go into a text or word processing program. You might be able to just click in the text area, then do a control+V to paste the text in there, or in some program, you might have to click above on Edit then Paste Special.
I would maybe click in the right hand side of this screen, then press control+A (which selects all the messages in this thread) then Control+C, continue to paste the entire thread into your word processor, then delete the sections you don't want.
Now --- since the topic is travel -- tell me about a good place near your home to visit.

What Patrick suggests will usually work with MSIE, but of course it prints the entire thread.
I think on some versions of MSIE you must not click on the printer icon, but instead must click File - Print - and make sure the option "only the selected fram" is checked.
Or if there's just a part of some page you wish to print, drag the cursor over it, then click file - print - then click the option that reads, "Selection" (in the page range section).
Patrick - re: $6 Y ... I remember when some of those cheap motels ... "6", "8", etc actually charged that amount - back when I worked Holiday Inn front desks in the early 70's

Yes, r-travels. That is where motel 6 got it's name -- it was $6. And Day's Inn originally had an 8 in the sun emblem -- the cost of a room. I remember going to Florida in the late 50's and actually having to pay over $15 a night for our family of 5 along the highway in Georgia. My father was outraged.

I sure was ... referring to all who posted in this thread. Just trying to get the topic off pc's, on on to travel.
Yup, Patrick, I see all your helpful posts quite often.
Red Roof Inn in Washington DC has some terrific prices between now and (including) New Year's Eve. It's located 1 block away from the Gallary Place/Chinatown metro station. I stayed there 2 weeks ago .. it's a newer high rise and while the building itself was nicer than the standard roadside "Roof", the rooms were had the usual, not very fancy but adequate, "Roof" furnishings. The Building Museum, which has been mentioned in this board recently, was on the adjacent block. I often stay over in Arlington, but will stay here on future visits if the rate is as competitive.
