Princeville Resort?

I'm staying at the Princeville on Kauai in February. Is this considered the rainy season? I looked into the Hyatt but they were booked on our dates. From what I saw on the two hotels web sites, the Princeville looks like a more charming resort and is surrounded by more dramatic landscape. Comments?

Thanks!

I'm not sure what your definiteion of "charming" is but the Princeville Resort is very elegant. The Hyatt definitely feels more "comfortable" to me but the Princeville Resort is absolutely beautiful and the scenery can't be beat. The "library" has full wall sized windows that look out over the bluffs and it's breathtaking. I'm sure you'll like it.

Yes, Frank, February is the rainy season!!! The reason that the landscape around Princeville is so gorgeous is because of all that rain! As beautiful as the North Shore is, I would not stay there November thru March! You could have a lot of rain every day - what about the Sheraton Kauai at Poipu? Not quite the Hyatt but great! Have a great time!

Princeville reminded me of a Miami Beach resort hotel of the 60s--except for the window-walls overlooking the picture-perfect view (the same view as from the jacuzzi in our bathroom. Best thing about PVille is the golf course--one of the best in the world.

The Hyatt has gorgeouis landscaping as well. Either resort will be just fine so don't worry about it!
