pre-game Rockies dinner

I'm looking for a recommendation for a fun dinner spot before a game at Coors Field. Fun but family friendly would be great.

I'm not sure it's "fun" per se, but it's good and family-friendly, and close to the ballpark: The Chophouse.

The Chophouse is very good but high end -- expensive. Not the right place to get in the mood for a game. I like the Wazee Supper Club - great pizzas and other things, nice salads, and fun place to start the game. Croc's -- Mexican -- on Market is fun.

Hi ~ we enjoy the Rodizio Grill on Wynkoop, within walking distance of the stadium..Brazilian food/skewers of beef, lamb, chicken+, and an impressive salad bar. About $32.00 per person.

Bar food/pool table: Mayor Hickenlooper's ol' place...The Wynkoop Brewery...'Flights of Beer' and burgers +. www.wynkoop.com

Nearby: Fado's (www.fadoirishpub.com); The Keg (steakhouse); or a varied menu on the 16th Street Mall - just take the free mall ride (west) and walk to the stadium.

I hope this isn't TMI, but I posted below the dinner menu for the Chophouse. Mainly because it is so close to the stadium, and has consistently good food. Also has a bar menu for burgers and sandwiches.

It is not cheap, but I think it's well-priced, because they include a salad and starch:

Wynkoops is a terrific family spot pre-games. Kids love the in-home root beer and meal choices and parents can enjoy the pub food, which can range from traditional to healthier options.

PeaceOut, have no idea why you thought it was necessary to post the meau unless you have a financial interest in the Chophouse. No one questioned the quality of The Chophouse just the "fun" aspect which you yourself questioned. And as I suggested earlier, it is one of the last places I would recommend for anyone to go for a fun start to a ballgame. All of the other recs are much better. Now if you want a nice dinner after the game, then that is a whole another discussion.

fmpden, it seems you repeatedly make ugly responses to my posts. You must think you have the final word on Denver. It gets tiresome, really.

"No one questioned the quality of The Chophouse", you say, which has nothing to do with the menu, so I'm not sure why you point that out.

And, of course I do not have a financial interest in the Chophouse. Duh. Kind of a dumb suggestion.

I posted the menu to show the prices for the OP, because you said it was "high end expensive", which I think the prices prove it is not. High end expensive means $30+ entrees plus more for sides, IMO.

It's not a rowdy place, except the front bar area can be loud when a big game is playing. It is a relatively casual place, however.
It couldn't be closer to Coors stadium, too.
