Portland restaurant for Thanksgiving Dinner

This is an unusual year and so we've decided to go out for Thanksgiving dinner. There will be six adults - age range 24 to 91. I've narrowed our choices to Meriwether's Restaurant at $55 per adult or The Heathman at $47 per adult. It will be spendy, but there is only one Thanksgiving dinner a year! Which restaurant would you prefer? Thanks.

I note on Open Table that reservations for those restaurants cannot be made on line. I guess you will have to call them.

I've never eaten at Meriwether's, but The Heathman has a pleasant dining room and reliable food. I like that on Thanksgiving they are offering the option of a buffet or prix fixe meal for the same price.

Hi Golfmom, I'm topping this, a bit selfishly, because we will probably be in Portland for T'giving too.

If anyone has other suggestions for restaurants, I'm very open. Good food is priority, but close to Residence Inn on NW 9th.

Many thanks!

I believe Paley's is serving Thanksgiving dinner. It is a very good place and conveniently reached by public transportation from Residence Inn: http://www.paleysplace.net
