Portland, Oregon: Sunday Dinner

We will be in Portland on Sunday, May 25, and some of the restaurants we want to try don't serve dinner on Sundays.

I would like to eat grilled fish and lovingly prepared vegetables in a comfortable restaurant that is isn't too noisy, too corporate, or trying too hard to be different. Any suggestions?

We will be staying in the new Residence Inn in the Pearl District.

You might have to drive or take the bus down to Milwaukie to get to McGraths. They are top notch for all types of seafood.

I like McCormick and Schmicks Harborside- have always had a nice meal there and its on the water so nice views with outdoor dining

I also like the Newport Bay on the waterfront- its a floating restaurant- locals may poo poo these as they are chain restaurants but I have not had a bad meal at either one

Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping for something in the Pearl District or downtown so we could there.

Southpark Seafood is excellent and is walkable from where you are staying.

One of the best meals we had in Portland in 2012 was at Andina, peruvian tapas. Lovely food, lovely service.
