Port Everglades luggage storage available post cruise?

Does anyone know if there is anywhere to store our luggage after our cruise for a few hours before our flight home?
The ship docks at 0800, disembark by 1000, but our flight doesn't leave until 1800.We thought we could spend the day around Las Olas Bl. to kill time instead of waiting at the airport.
When we arrived at the Port previously, we went straight to the airport and therefore didn't investigate this option for the future.
Any help appreciated. Thanks, J

Joanne - Last time we had time to kill after a cruise before a flight we rented a car, there are shuttles at the port to the rentals, and left the luggage in the car while we shopped the outlet mall - worked out great.

Barbara,
Thanks for the suggestion on renting a car. We just wanted to walk around an interesting street, Las Olas maybe, and kill time before the flight. Not really interested in going to the Mall.
So renting a car doesn't seem practical for us. Guess we will just go to the airport and watch the passing parade. Maybe get on an earlier flight, but still have to wait in Houston for the original flight to OAK.
Anyone with other suggestions out there?
Thanks, J

Why is this so difficult for you? If you want to alk around Las Olas, rent a car, drive to las Olas, walk around, have a meal, drive youself to the airport, drop of the car, and checkin for your flight.
That's how you spend your time, the way you want to. What other information/advice do you want?
There is NO OTHER WAY to manage your luggage, besides getting a hotel room and leaving it there while you sightsee. So reserve a car, and be done with it!

Anthony,
What happened to your manners? I was just asking for some helpful advice. No need to reply in such a disrespectful way. Did you ever hear the saying "If you can't say anything nice ........?

I don't understand your response to Barbara. Why isn't renting a car practical? You REALLY plan to sit at the airport for over 6 hours?
The reason I responded is that there REALLY isn't any other alternatives. Besides renting a car or hotel room, you can rent a car service to drive you around; that would cost you alot more money than renting a car yourself. Since you have luggage, you are VERY Limited in your options. Since 9/11, there are NO PLACES to leave luggage; you can't check-in your luggage 6 hrs before your flight, so you REALLY don't have any options.
Your original post states you want to walk around Las Olas Blvd.-renting a car will allow you to store your luggage, get you to Las Olas, and get you to the airport. will allow you to do that. So what's the problem?
