My wife and I are planning to return to Las Vegas again this September. Last September we stayed at the Bellagio. We loved the pool and the spa and thought the retsuarants were great, but overall felt that the hotel was too much of a tourist destination and was always crowded with people not staying at the hotel. While we enjoy gambling a bit, we really enjoyed relaxing by the pool and at the spa during the day. any suggestions for a strip hotel that has a pool that is as relaxing and beautiful as the Bellagio but is not constantly packed with sightseers? We are considering Mandalay Bay.

The entire strip is a tourist location. What you are looking for you will not find on the strip. If you want a great hotel that has a spa and isn't touristy, you might have to go off the strip to someplace like the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas.

Yes, off strip and outside LV is where you'll not find sightseers, as kkj suggests. Mandalay Bay is good, but you might also look into Caesars Palace as it might better meet your implied preferences.

What about the Four Seasons? I think it's supposed to be the most refined, quiet hotel on the Strip.

Mandalay Bay! We stayed there for a mini-honeymoon last month and loved it. The pool is fantastic - there's even a wave pool off of a fake "beach" if you want a change of scenery (of course, it's also more crowded and more kids running around). If you're looking for a little more relaxation, I would suggest that you rent a private cabana for a half day or full day. The room was very, very nice, and you could get to it directly from the lobby without walking through the casino - a big plus in my book.

We also stayed at the Venetian on the same trip. While the room was lovely, I would not recommend its pool area at all. The main pool was empty and under construction, and the secondary pool was in the shade for most of the day.

I agree with Haydencat, stay at the Four Seasons! It is connected to Mandalay, but tucked away from all the hustle. It has a beautiful, calm pool and no sightseers (nothing really to see!).

And...i forgot...the spa at MGM... i didn't like it...Mirage is wonderful and so is Bally's.
