poconos during Xmas holiday
we are thinking of spending a few days in the Poconos from Baltimore-3 adults and 3 kids. We are looking for a place to stay with a swimming pool (not Great Wolf Lodge-too expensive and not worth the money). What activities are there for us to do? Kids are 8,11,12. What would the weather be like? I have heard there is a place for the kids to go snow tubing.

Since no one answered, I will.
Montage is where you will find the snow tubing etc.
Now it's called snomountain. My son learned to ski there about 20 years ago. http://www.snomtn.com/
There are links to nearby hotels. From Baltimore it's north on I-83 to I-81 to the Moosic exit.
Good luck on finding an indoor pool.

There is snowtubing at Camelback Mountain. Not sure if their resort has an indoor pool.

Indoor pool at this one. The Camelback site lists nearby lodging:

We stayed at bushkill inn. Went snow tubing at shawnee mountain. Bushkill has an awesome steakhouse and spa.
Hotel was great really nice and clean and the snowtubing was awesome too!
