Please Recommend Memphis Hotels

Hi, Want to take a last minute jaunt to Memphis this weekend. Can you recommend a nice and safe hotel under $150? Plan to see Beale Street, Graceland and the Zoo. Thanks!

I'd suggest the Peabody, but it appears they are booked up for the weekend.

Wyndham Garden Hotel is a nice hotel, average rates for the weekend are $169 however.

Now -- not sure if the location is good enough for you, but the Memphis Marriott East is $110.00 per nite (average) for this weekend.

http://www.resideo.com/us/tennessee/memphis/ is where I found these rates (same as hotels.com, expedia.com, etc.).

Have a great weekend!

I usually stay at the Doubletree which is a block away from the Peabody and right across from the baseball park.

I HIGHLT recommend the museum of civil rights- it is one of the best museums in our country.

stayed at the raddison, across the street from the peabody. it was quite nice. only blocks from beale. don't forget to go to the rendezvous for ribs. graceland is great, but leave time for sun studios won't you?

yeager, i was there for a long weekend as well, and didn't need to rent a car. everything is quite close. i think we may have cabbed it to graceland, and walked back from sun studios. there is the streetcar as well. i think there must be hotel parking lots for guests, if you are arriving there by car for instance.

Otto, is a long weekend enough in Memphis, if you've never been before?
