We have frequent flyer miles to burn and we are in a quandry as to where to go. We went to Maui and Oahu earlier this year and are thinking of going to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, or Costa Rica. Could you tell me which of these you think would be best or any other places you would suggest. Also, are the roads in Costa Rica really that bad? Thanks so much in advance.

hi tcapp. well here i am telling you to go to costa rica. and right on the american board and everything.
costa rica's roads can be "that bad" especially in rainy season. no super highways. definetly doable though. its not your car after all. lol
the west coast is the place for beaches and surfing and there is a volcano and outstanding zip line tours inland. try to do a little of each. but, do get on the latin america boards for tons of CR info
i would pick CR over st. thomas or PR. since you have miles to burn. i should have such problems...

St. John, not St. Thomas.

I going to tell you to go to Costa Rica as well. I have not been to PR but was in St. Thomas and St. John last summer. Both of which were fun but I would definitely choose St. John over St. Thomas. However I would choose CR over either of them.

In CR, we surfed, went marlin fishing, zip lined, road horses through the rain forest, went white water rafting, and looked into a volcano. Go to Costa Rica! Pura Vida!

make that "rode" horses.
