PLEASE Fodors-Start a Hawaii Forum

Hawaii is great and all but I think I speak for many here that it truly deserves its own forum. Anyone traveling ANYWHERE but Hawaii grows rather tired of hearing about Hawaii.

See the little box right above this area, it has a red box that says FIND, scroll down thru the states til you find Hawaii, click the red FIND button and go to the Hawaii forum. This area lists everything on the site. hey learn to look beyond what's right in front of you!!

I disagree because I think travelers like to learn about multiple destinations. There is a lot of interest in Hawaii but many Fodorites are making a decision among a set of destinations.

For clarification I am disagreeing with "please fodors", not with the second poster "open your eyes".

To Author: please fodors. I don't know if Fodors reads all these posts. You might want to try e-mailing them directly. I have done that with a couple of really offensive posts and the posts are removed.

To Open Your Eyes -- the please fodor poster is asking for a separate forum much like Cruises, Europe, Asia, Parking, Travel Agents and Tours. They aren't talking about being able to separate the posts themselves by going to the FIND box. They are looking for a separate forum. Open your eyes.

This EXACT message repeats every other day. You should start your own forum too = )

Thanks KKJ, that's exactly what I meant. To open your eyes: what's the matter? Somebody take a dump in your lunchbox today?

I really agree with "please fodors". Hawaii does get a bit tiresome, especially when most of the posts are requests for hotels (should check the Fodors hotel recommendations!) Hawaii just needs a site separate from the United States general site, if that is possible!

I too agree, they need their own just like Europe, cruise, etc. It would clear the area a lot not to have to scroll down 250 posts to find one you might want a response to that you posted only an hour or so before. Now I hope this isn't to difficult for people to understand

Two words: Text Search
And if you would research your own question that's been asked a zillion times you would find why Hawaii does not have its own forum.

I don't see what the trauma is. There are no more Hawaii posts than there are New York posts or Las Vegas posts or Disney posts or a half dozen other popular U.S. destinations. Read the ones that interest you and skip the ones that don't. No need for a separate forum.

Use your brain, moron. You've got text search, and you've got a category filter by state. If you don't like what happens to come up on the default page, then you change it. If it's Hawaii-centric for a few minutes, unravel your bunched panties and BREATHE, woman, BREATHE.

Comparing an Hawaii forum to "Europe" is ludicrous. Have you ever seen that forum? Every country is lumped together - Eng;and, Ireland, Scotland, Russia, Latvia, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Azores, Iceland, Turkey, etc, etc. Surely if the 500 million people in Europe only rate one forum, why do you think Hawaii deserves one? It is just not practical to have separate CA, HI, FL, NY forums.

There would be a lot less Hawaii posts if the same questions weren't asked over and over and and over again...

Thanx Darvy. Please fodors: no one crapped in my lunch box, and PAHLEASE do not speak for many here, YOU are in a CLASS by yourself, you turned your own post into an offensive one. And kkj, scary how you can read minds, so tell me what am I thinking now?? PS Never been to Hawaii, never want to go, it's a poor excuse for Tahiti.

The difference with Hawaii and the rest of Europe for example, is, it is not all that common for someone to be debating Hawaii or... NYC or Hawaii or ... Las Vegas, However, all of middle Europe is accessible on one trip and many people would debate those destinations i.e. France or...Austria. I agree that Hawaii with it's own forum might be a more efficient use of bandwidth and better for the site. Perhaps something like a Pacific Islands category. I'm currently considering Bora Bora, Bali, or Hawaii and I need to use 3 different forums to access that info even though many people who travel to French Polynesia have also been to hawaii and likewise for Bali travellers. Just makes more sense to me...
