Plano, Texas

I read a few posts that suggested Guidelive.com for restaurant opinions. I'll be checking there in just a minute.

I thought I'd also check to see if anyone has any favorite spots for breakfast in Plano. We will be there for the hot air balloon festival this weekend. Balloonists definitely like to eat!

Cool. Do they leave from McKinney still?

Sorry, can't tell you where to go for breakfast. We lived there. We got up to see the dawn launch one year and sat in traffic for hours on the two lane road between Plano and McKinney (we were smart...we were going to take the back roads and beat traffic) so be sure you are there on the spot in plenty of time!! We watched as they went over our traffic jam. Boy those are "one of those memories"! LOL

The events are centered around the Collin County Jr. College. They have a terrific field for launches and balloon glows. The hill that overlooks the field is a great viewing spot. Much better than your traffic jam!

If anyone is interested in the festival-

The Original Pancake House at Park and 75 was always a favorite of mine. It is on the NW corner. That's actually not far from CCJC. Have a good weekend!

For a dinner option (not open for B or L) try Roy's. This is one of Roy Yamaguchi's group which originated in Hawaii. Outstanding food!!
