Place for lunch in Philly?
Am heading back to my home state of Jersey in a little over a week. Decided to go into the city and do some touristy stuff since I haven't been there in almost seven years and have never been to the Constitution Center.
So, I am looking for a place to have lunch. Would love a place on the river, but that isn't a necessity. I will be driving to the Constitution Center and leaving the car at the parking garage til the afternoon, so something within walking distance (two miles or so) would probably work best.
I am a vegetarian, though I eat dairy and eggs. Suggestions?

The best place to look for a place for lunch is Reading Terminal Market.
http://www.readingterminalmarket.org/merchants/
It's at 11th Street, thus six blocks from the Constitution Center.
Can't suggest any vegetarian places there, but perhaps others can.

I agree that the reading terminal is a good choice.
Other nearby options are Jones, which has great salads, and La Scala, which also has good salads and pizza.

There are vegetarian restaurants that are a little further but much less than 2 miles. I haven't been to these but they get good reviews. Both were just listed in a Washington Post article on vegetarian restaurants in Phila.

Vedge is probaby the top vegetarian restaurant in town but I don't think it is open for lunch.

If you're visiting on a Saturday or Sunday, I can recommend Morgan's Pier.
