Pittsburgh area for girls weekend (wine necessary!)
Looking to reunite with college friends and Pittsburgh comes up as halfway point (between Columbus, OH and D.C.).
Morgantown, WV area would also be halfway.
Looking for winery/B&B/resort type experience...not in city. Someplace to relax and visit.
We are in our 50's. Would appreciate nice restaurants at hotel or nearby. A winery tour nearby would be good activity for all.
Thanks for input.

I don't know what your budget is but the Nemacolin Woodlands resort in the Laurel Highlands, which is close to both Morgantown and Pittsburgh, is very nice, has decent restaurants and is very expensive. There is actually a winery (Christina Klay) close to it which you can visit , but Southwestern Pa is not really an area for winerys. There are many activities in this area such as Fallingwater, hiking, cave tours, biking, antiquing, rafting, horseback riding, ect. If Nemacolin is not in your budget the Summit Resort is in the same area. http://summitinnresort.com/. There are probably B and B's' in the area but I am not familiar with them.

How about the Greenbrier near White Sulphur Springs?

The rooms are rather high end as well.
