phoenix / sedona first time

Hi folks

My husband and i are well travelled internationally but have never been to Phoenix - we are headed there for a week in early Dec. 4 days in Phoenix and 3 days in Sedona - any suggestions? What will the weather be like in Dec? we thought about a car drive to the South Rim, mountain biking in the Sedona area, hanging out at the spa and seeing galleries / native indian art when in Phoenix as well as 1-2 days hikes.

Look forward to any ideas. Thanks, Sylvia

Sylvia

I've put together a large file on Phoenix, Sedona and the GC. If you'd like a copy, email me at
[email protected]
and I will send it to you. Our trip isn't until this Saturday, but I have done a lot of research and my file might help you.

Sedona will be ~15 deg colder than Phoenix, and The Canyon ~20-30 deg colder. I think I'd try to spend more time away from Phoenix; maybe even spend a day in Flagstaff or if your interested in Native American sites, check out some of the ruins at Wapatki Nat'l Mon., Walnut Canyon Nat'l Mon., and Montezuma Castle Nat'l Mon.. There are also a couple sites near Sedona, although the roads might be bad.

Or click on my name for it. We went to Sedona & the GC in July. It was great. Hope this helps.

Michelle,

How did you insert a clickable link? Not too long ago I posted a topic asking if that could be done, and no one knew how to do it.

Dear Mike:

I am really ignorant on the computer, but all I do is go to my report, click the web address in the window, click copy, then go back to the post a reply and paste it in. It just automatically does the highlight thing. Maybe someone else knows why. I guess I am just lucky!!

Well, I'm pretty ignorant on the computer, too, but it didn't work for me. Maybe Fodor's did a site upgrade. Here, let me try it.

Hey, swybarrett, here is a Sedona link, in case it wasn't included in Michelle's trip report.
