Phoenix 11/4-11/8 Ideas?

Leaving for the Westin Kierland Villas in 1 week! (11/4-11/8) Any must-do's while in the area for 5 days? Someone once mentioned the Wrigley House? Any tips for the villas? We are attending the "Best of the Southwest" motorcycle show on Friday in Tempe. (To see Orange County Choppers from "American Chopper" on Discovery.) Will have a car and would like golf course recomendations as well. Oh yeah..anyone know where the NASCAR drivers may hang out since the race is on Sun, 11/7? Thanks! <PS> Re-posting this on the AZ board.

The Wrigley House? I've lived here since 1989 and I've never heard of it. The Wrigley Mansion is now a restaurant. Could they have been referring to the Biltmore Resort? That's worth seeing. Food: Definately don't miss Los Sombreros and Barrio Cafe. (There's a big biker bar near Los Sombreros that might also appeal to you.) Neither are near your hotel, but both are WELL worth the drive and reasonably priced. The latter does not take reservations, so be aware. Other things to see: Sedona, 2 hr drive and beautiful. Heard Museum is world class American Indian Art. Frank Lloyd Wright's home is not far from your hotel. Great shopping, if you are into that, all over the place. Like Thai food? Swadee Thai is not far from your hotel. Not fancy, but very good food. Take a Pink Jeep or horseback ride into the desert.

I second the mention of the Barrio Cafe...I went there for dinner this last weekend and it was fabulous. It's a little strange (it's in a fairly run down old Phoenix strip mall next to a dollar store), but once you find the place and get inside, it's well worth it. The best Mexican food in the Valley (and I'm a native).

If you like hiking, there are some great hikes (Camelback mountain, Squaw Peak --aka "Piestawa Peak" and Pinnacle Peak, all offer great views of the Valley. Shopping is great right there at Kierland Commons; it's pretty good for restaurants too. Have a blast!

We had our wedding reception at the Wrigley Mansion (quite a few years ago). It's adjacent to the Biltmore.
I wouldn't really consider it a tourist destination myself.
Sorry I don't know anything about NASCAR, but I could offer restaurant suggestions.

Perhaps they meant the Wright house - aka Frank Lloyd House - Tailsen West ?

I have reservations to stay at the Westin Kierland next May (although I think only in the hotel - not a Villa). I would love to hear what you think of the resort/area - and any tips on things to do/see would be great!!
