Pearl Harbor Day

Hi - We need help figuring out the day for Pearl Harbor. We are staying at the Hyatt Waikiki - should we take the bus over?
What time should we start the day to avoid the crowd? What else can you do on that day to optimize activities for the day?? Thanks in advance!!

Would it be possible to do pearl harbor (Arizona Memorial, Bishop Museum and then do up north - stop at the Dole Plantation and then spend the afternoon and evening at the Polynesian Cultural Center? IS that "Do-able" or would it get to hectic?

These are very "do-able", but will be a rushed and long day with Bishop Museum in the plan. I'd do this instead:
Start early as Pearl Harbor lines get longer thru the day, then head up North with your stop at Dole Plantation. After that eat lunch in Haleiwa or buy a picnic lunch and eat at Waimea Bay or Ehukai beach. From there continue around to the PCC, then visit Bishop museum the next day.

Hi - we were at Pearl Harbor a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I don't know about the transportation from the Waikiki area, but we drove to Pearl Harbor and arrived between 8:30 and 9:00 am. We got tickets for the trip to the Arizona Memorial and had about a half hour to visit the small museum on the grounds before our turn to visit the memorial. After the trip to the memorial, we wandered the area along the waterfront - they have a lot of very interesting exhibits and plaques describing the ships involved and the events of that day. There were substantially more people at 10:30-11:00 than earlier in the day.

If you have any interest in WWII at all, the Bowfin submarine next door was very interesting and takes about an hour or so with the related exhibits.

You could drive out in the morning then have lunch at California Pizza Kitchen or Banditos in Pearlridge Mall. If it was Weds or Sat you could hit the Stadium Swap Meet. Then drive out to the lagoons at Ko'olina. You can take photos of the lighthouse nearby. Go to the spa or go to the luau. Or just take a drive out to Waianae.
