You got two choices, Bob. There's long-term parking near the terminal, or economy several miles away. Both offer a shuttle service to the terminal, and both are secure - surrounded by fencing, etc. You can guess which one costs more.

We leave ours at the long term that is closest to the terminal. Yes, it costs more, but after a long trip we prefer to just walk to the car and go. If our trip was in the same time zone, then we would probably go the economy route. But if you are heading to the east coast or overseas, when you get back all you want is to get in your car asap and get home. That is our thinking anyway, lol!

I park in economy frequently- never had a problem
If you are from out of town- you can stay at airport hotel for a night and park on hotel grounds for free
There is also a "Park and Fly" parking area - secured parking - and I think rates are a little less than aiport and you can book reserved spot online at their website

We're driving down from the Seattle area to take the Columbia River cruise. The tour company has a person at the airport to greet flyers, and s/he will take our luggage and make sure it gets on the boat.
Thanks for the reassurance.
