I will be driving from the west to New York City for vacation but don't want to drive all the way into Manhattan. Where is a good place to park that is reasonably priced, relatively safe and has good public transportation into Manhattan? Is Newark Airport a good place? Other suggestions? Thanks for your help.

There was some good info in there re: using a Park and Ride in Rutherford (with a link to other Park and Rides) as well as using the Metro Park train.
