Parking near Nine Zero hotel?

How bad is the parking situation near the Nine Zero hotel in Boston? This would be either the weekend before July 4th or on July 4th.
Hotel valet parking is $38!

Not sure about overnight, but I use the Center Plaza garage when I'm in that vicinity - $10 on weekends or after 5 or 6pm weeknights.

you do know, that there is a big concert on the Esplanade and fireworks on July 4th? so on that particular day, parking is likely to be very difficult. unless you are already in a garage on the 3rd.

just wanted to warn you!

as noted, it's a huge event week in Boston, parking will be at a premium, and depending on what time you arrive in the city will be lucky to find parking at all -

here is a link for the Boston Common garage, which would work for you with the rates:
http://www.mccahome.com/bcg_rat.html

here is one site that lists other garages
http://www.bostoncitylinks.com/common.html

and there are more if you google parking garages and/or parking, boston, ma -

I agree that if you are arriving on the 4th for one night, you should just pay for valet parking since garages will be very difficult. If you arrive on the 3rd, you can stick the car in the Common Garage and just leave it there through the 4th. Even if you have Nine Zero park it on the 4th, you could move it to the Common on the 5th.

I would have thought that if you can afford Nine Zero, another $38 for parking would be pocket change

Oops--I would actually be there on the 3rd, (leaving on the 4th) not arriving on the 4th. I know that day would be crazy! And I may actually be there the Saturday before July 4th, for one night, so I'm just scoping out more resaonably priced options. The overnight weekend rate at the Bostion Common gargae is only $10, so that's encouraging.
Ackislander, as far as the price of parking vs hotel price--there's actually a deal on Travelzoo for the hotel at $159 night, so the extra $38 is really bugging me. I suppose if I were paying $600 a night for a hotel then the extra would just feel like pocket change!

on the overnight parking fees at garages, just make sure you chech the time in / time out - b/c before you park it there, you have to either time your arrival or park it for the day, etc - b/c most of them if you are not within the say $10 a night times, you get whacked for a lot more whether they add on an entire hour fee or more.
