any recommendations of which ranch to visit on the Big Island of Hawaii .I think there are homes to visit at Parker and Anna and Kahua has a barbeque on Wednesday nights.

I stayed at the Kahuā Ranch in 1983. A friend from college worked there as a cowboy, so my co worker and I spent a few nights, toured the ranch, had lunch with both owners. The ranch was starting it’s intense rotational grazing, the Savory Grazing Method. We had a fabulous time and the views were amazingly beautiful. This was way before the ranch hosted tourists. In the late 80s, the two families, Richards and Von Holt, split the ranch. The Richards family now hosts the tourist activities. My friends went to the barbecue several years ago and enjoyed it so much! My cowboy friend, I believe, now works for Parker Ranch.
